OH man I can't wait for my Sager 9261 to be shiped at the 19th but I hope they can ship it out eariler then the 19th.
Here is my Spec for the Sager 9261:
Sager NP9261
| 17" WUXGA 1920 x 1200 | Intel Core 2 Duo Quad Q6600 2.4GHz 8MB L2 Cashe | Nvidia GeForce 8700GT 512MB Dual SLI | 2048 DDR2 800Mhz | Dual Layer DVD +/-R/RW | Raid 0-Stripe 2x Seagate 160GB SATA 300 7200RPM | TV Tuner w/ Remote | Bluetooth + Intel 4965 Wireless Pro | Logitech G7 | Windows Vista Business | Kensington MicroSaver DS | Xotic PC E-Store |
The first game that I am going to try is BioShock, Medal of Honor Airborne, and soon Guitar Hero 3. I hope by then they would have the Nvidia Driver for the 8700M GT SLI enable in Vista 32-Bit. if not I am going to use the Dell XPS M1730 driver just to get the SLI running in Vista 32-Bit. Also I hope that the 8700M GT SLI can handle the game BioShock at high without any problem.
What is your spec for your Sager 9261 when you order your computer and what games are you guys going to play when you get it?
-
Spec is in my sig. Going to try Oblivion and Half Life 2. I also play GuildWars a lot but that's not taxing at all to the Graphics system.
Bioshock will run no problem with your 8700's in SLI. My brother runs a desktop with SLI'd 7900's which are very similar in performance to the 8700's for DX9. No problems on his machine for BioShock -
Hi Kozi how about if I enable DX10 will there be any lag on BioShock?
-
No idea because I haven't tried it, nor do I know of anyone who has.
I ready that DX10 in BioShock is not worth it because the game is really DX9. However someone in these forums posted that they run BioShock on a M570RU with a single 8700GT in DX10 mode -- and they said it rocked. So if they're being honest (and my memory is any good) you shouldn't have any problems either. -
HI Kozi thanks for the fast post I hope that they are honest about the 8700 GT in DX10 mode I will try it when I get my system. Do you know if there is EAX on the default sound card build in the 9261?
-
man i wish i could have brought myself to order one of these... they look amazing.. just a bit to rich for me right now
-
Me too. I do not have one of these ordered yet, but I am pretty close. I just dropped $1000 into my account today, and when my IFL90 is done with RMA, that is another $1200. I picked up three additional jobs to get enough money to afford this beast!
-
so whats the average price of these running?? i may end with one also.. the 5791 would then be my office / desktop.. lol
-
A good configuration is about $3000.
-
Mine cost just over $4k with shipping which was $100 for an APO address. I got this as a mobile gaming workstation. If I was back home in the States...I may have chosen a system a little less beefy, maybe a single video card and HD with half the ram... But, since I'm out in the middle of no where...with limited space and the need for mobility, I splurged a little for the sake of my own sanity and entertainment. In the long run, it will be nice to have a mobile gaming workstation...I won't have to bother setting up a new tower....noisy fans...water cooling maintenance...etc... At least for a little while. I'll probably build a tower when the Nvidia 9000 series starts to pop up.
-
im def considering it but id def have to wait a few months..
-
HI zfactor if you save up and spend about 3000 for a Sager 9261 this machine should last you for a wile at least three years and for sure you will be very happy with this machine.
-
oh yeah im sure ill do it i just have a lot of bills that need to be paid right now..lol.. give it prob 2 months then we'll see whats out or ill go this way .
-
Heya all, I just ordered mine Sept 27th and I am hoping it gets here soon. From the benchmarks here posted by Justin from Xotic, I will be a very happy camper.
I had to pay the extra for an APO address as well. I plan to use the 9261 as my "desktop" at the apartment and keep the G1 for small trips. At least that is the plan. Knowing me though, I will probably find a reason to bring the beast with me everywhere I go. -
Hi ashveratu ya we should all be a very happy camper for those who order the 9261. Oh you also have a bit faster CPU then the one I order and I will also bring the beast everywhere I go too. What is the first game that you are going to try when you get your system?
I also order the Sound Blaster X-FI Sound Card for the notebook and I can't wait till I test it out I hope that card have EAX. I have downloaded the newest driver for the VISTA 32-Bit OS and it say it has EAX so I can't wait till I test it. -

I had a hard time deciding between the e6850 and the q6700... I hope I made the wise choice as this is going to last me at least 4 years. I suppose I could always buy a 6850 off ebay if I'm not happy with the performance. Does anyone have any suggestions for the oc settings and driver version for the sli 7950's and vist 64 bit? Man I can't wait for COD4! -
My credit card was billed by xoticpc today so mine must be close to shipping
. I know because my credit card company called up and asked if it had been stolen
.
-
Woot, same here Kozi, well my bank did not call to see if my card was stolen but I saw the charge hit my account! Sweet!
The first game I plan to load at moment is Bioshock. I have already beaten it on my G1 but I want to play it in all its glory with maxed everything. Second game will be LOTRO and then Crysis when it comes out. -
Ya luckly Kozi and ashveratu I hope they they can get my system out by this Friday that would be so cool.
-
Looking forward to reading that people are receiving their units. Is the first thing you would do is play a game?
-
Most definitely the first thing I would do with it is load up some games on it. I picked up some games while I was on leave in the states and can't play any of'em till my 9261 comes in. Next in line would be to watch movies and listen to music, but mostly games...it's what the beast was made for.
-
Now I know there are some people out there that use it for a "workstation" for "work". I like to think they are a minority, a very lucky minority to have such power at their fingertips...for work. -
Thanks this forum I found a better place where to order it in Germany. I will get it in two week with orange paint (see other thread). Price is very good.
-
For all those that ordered the NP9261 with the 2x 8700GT SLI could you please post your fps for games at max settings? I'm curious how well the cards do in demanding games such as Bioshock with full settings. I was debating on whether to wait for when the 8800 comes out for laptops, but if the dual 8700gt sli is more than enough to run demanding games at maxed settings with max resolution I won't wait for them. I just want to get a feel for how well they perform and what the fps is in Bioshock for max settings and max resolution.
Thanks in advance! -
HI Envision when we I get my NP9261 I will post my FPS for the games I can't wait till I test them out. I hope that this system is upgradeable to 8700M GTX or even better the 8800M. Also I will be posting the benchmark for my setting for the 3DMark06 and PCMark05.
-
-
Oh man I just talk to Justin he say that my computer is going to ship this week and I should get it on Friday or Saturday. Oh man I can't wait for it oh man this is crazy.
-

-
i just got two new games BioShock, and MOH Aireborn. Also my new Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Audio Notebook I can't wait till I test all of them and I will for sure to take a lot of pictures.
-
My 9261 shipped yesterday

Good for you! Let us know when you get it, and maybe first impressions?
-
ordered from rjtech .. can't wait!
-
I just called Xotic to get an update on my order and was told that it has shipped! I just got word that I am only going to be at my current location for another month and then I am moving back to the states. I was gettin a little worried if it would make here in time. Looks like it will though. I can not wait. I hope it makes it through customs ok.....
I can't wait to show it my friend in Miami. His desktop has a slight advantage over it since he is running 2 x 8800GTSs in SLi. -
Thanks in advance! -
I hope the 8800 mobile card comes out soon. I'm on the edge of waiting for it to come out over purchasing it now with the 8700GT SLI. Hopefully Sager will add it to the NP9261 as an option when it does come out. Anybody have any idea on when it will be released?
-
today or tomorrow...
I will place some pictures!
Who else? -
http://www.deviltech.de/deviltech.php/sid/5b160c9b3c6e7601b1fee03e44a5f90a/cl/details/cnid/8a142c3e4143562a5.46426637/anid/d3d44ddfa28b25659.68051408/Devil-8000-DTX/
But I didn't let it paint in the way you see on their website. I did order it like the red one you see on this thread (see picture). -
6edo,
what place was that?
thanks! -
This: http://www.deviltech.de/deviltech.p...id/d3d44ddfa28b25659.68051408/Devil-8000-DTX/
You can decide the way you want to paint it. You don't have to order it like in the pictures... For example I will get the opposite of what you see on their web: what is orange I will get it in black and what is black I will get it in orange... -
so, could you already test it?
There`s just so few info about deviltech on the net... -
Will that store sell a custom painted lid only for a d901c and provide instructions about how to install it?
Trance -
No, I still didn't get it and my notebook wouldn't be a good example since I didn't order two cards (I won't use it for gaming). -
Hey Trance, I can sell you a custom high performance notebook painting kit. Contains super fine sand paper, masking tape, spray paint and you get to choose the color! for only $300! How's that for a deal. Actually I jest, choosing your own color is an extra $50.
-
uh, whats this?

Thanks guys for all the help. I'll check out suggestions.
Ash, I'm not really much of a painter to say the mostI rather prefer someone else with a proven track record to do it then dot it myself.
The reason I ask to the LCD top Lid is that I want to keep the original.
Trance -
Oh man I can't wait till I get my Sager 9261 what about you?
