I am out of the loop apparently. Prema said that only P1xxEM/SM models have Enduro. Is this true? Newer Sager/Clevo models with the 8970M don't have Enduro, meaning they allow you to force the GPU of your choice?

If that is true, what a damn disgrace for P1 owners.

All the current notebooks that have a single 8970M do use Enduro. The ones with dual video card options like the NP9380/9390/9570 do not have Enduro or Optimus even if you have just one video card.

PxxEM and PxxSM models use switchable graphics (Enduro and Optimus), unless - as Hutsady said - it's a system that is capable of two dGPUs (such as P370 and P570). So be it a 8970M or a 780M, it uses switchable graphics in said series'.

Any SLI capable model will have Optimus/Enduro permanently cut off from the hardware front -- I don't even see any options for iGPU tuning in XTU. For people who hate this switchable nonsense (ie me) this is a blessing, and a major reason why I recommend people get the SLI versions even if they just want to run 1 graphics card.

He meant the em and sm 150/170 series as a whole and below while the hm series did not.
