Anyone have the Zalman ZM-NC1000 (or 'B' black model) cooler on a Sager/Clevo?

I only ask with regards to the spacing of the fans and the intakes.

Seems relatively well regarded in the forums here, and given the Clevos intake on the bottom seems a good match.

    - width is okay? (for on-desk use)
    - placement is okay of the air movement, mating to our intakes?

Good branded coolers seem hard to come by here (by order only), and going to pass on the $19.99 jobbies :)

I might add that I've been using a Thermeltek unpowered pad for years .. was maybe a good idea for my old Thinkpad, but seems to actually not help (and possibly hinder) my Sager/Clevo .. perhaps just got in the way of the intakes as the feat sink into it as it warms.

the Zalman's are solid, I have used both the NC1000 and NC2000.

the NC1000 fits perfect for 15.4" and smaller systems
the NC2000 fits perfect for 15.4" and larger systems (with extra stage for 15.4")

I bought a 1000 for my desk at home this weekend. It was actually hard to find a 1000 as Frys had loaded up on 2000s and they said they were not going to be carrying any more 1000s.

I have owned several coolers but this one is by far the best. My decision was based off of the forums here and I am not disappointed. The 1000 is the perfect size for my NP8660 as the laptop completely covered the cooler maximizing the cooling effect. I didn’t go with a 2000 as I figured that cooling vents that weren’t under the laptop might be less than ideal.

It runs quiet and it is very solid. I like it so much I have ordered another one for the office.

ah crap, so the 2000 is what I'd need for the M570RU 17"? .

Time to get them to order that one instead :)

As long as the fans mate up, I'm happy :)

Great cooler, but also look at the CRYO NZXT cooler, it uses 3 bigger fans that push out a lot of air, it's a little bulky but can be folded up for easier storage when needed.
