    My first post here :)

I saw the NP2090 referred to by someone at a gaming forum after someone asked about good gaming laptops. The deal blew my mind (a similarly configured Dell costs 1800-1900 with a lot less 'perk' features like fingerprint reader, USB power button, etc), and after a bit my brother and I decided to get 2 of the NP2090's. We were at first looking at the computer at sagernotebook.com, but when we checked out powernotebooks.com, the laptops were not only cheap enough for us to add on the bluetooth modules, but the shipping costs half as much! Then I saw the following:

    1. Forums on both powernotebooks.com and here with helpful people
    2. 30 day return policy, lifetime tech support and 1 year parts warranty
    3. powernotebooks.com is BBB registered (sagernotebook.com is not, and has an F rating), and was a member for over a year
    4. Excellent resellerratings reviews
    and finally:
    5. That powernotebooks.com has representatives on this forum as well!

Those things definitely sold me on not only the laptop but also the reseller, I have a great deal of confidence in my purchase.

Quick question, between late june and early july there have been a lot of posts saying people should expect to get their laptops (NP2090) by mid-august, however more recently people have already received their machines, did shipping and production get an earlier than expected start?

This forum has been a great source of info so far and I hope it will continue to be. (Is the "top buttons not working" issue with the NP2090's resolved yet?)

It's because those people ordered the WXGA Screen size, which came in much earlier. The WSXGA screens have been delayed quite a bit, hence orders placed for the WSXGA screen now or around now should be delivered sometime in August due to the multitude of preorders.

Apparently, Compal's shipping their IFL-90s (which is what the Sager NP2090 is based off of) on the backs mules and donkeys. Mules and donkeys that are expected to cross the Pacific Ocean on foot.

We've heard that they might start arriving yesterday, but there's been no word. I'm hoping for my laptop within mid-July, but it's seeming to be optimistic at this point, but I'm a patient fellow. It all depends really what kind of screen and how early you've ordered yours, though there have been some guys that ordered theirs six weeks ago and have yet to see their laptops yet.

It should start becoming steady at about mid-July/late-July, so yes, they will probably be at your doorstep within this month or early next month I'm betting.

Thank you for your kind comments OtakuMark, and welcome to the forum :)

Sager shipped a very few of the WXGA version starting on 6-22, but then there have been no more shipments since then.

Watch for a "News Conference" tomorrow...

We are sorry to have to be silent the last couple of days, but have been given so many estimated arrival dates, that have been pushed back, and then back again that we only want to make one more announcement once they are in our warehouse, and we know if we have enough with this first shipment to fill all of our pre-orders.

So please, just a wee bit more patience and everyone will finally be happy.

Bad news is better than no news, IMO. Keep up the good work, Donald! :)

Its understandable. But yeah any news is better than no news at all. Even if its a delay, I'd like to know rather than be kept in the dark. Its a big investment and I'm anxious. :/

Yeah, I think we would all like to know all news that the resellers hear. If Sager gives an ETA, we would like to know, even if it is possibly inaccurate, such as the possibility of a delay in the future.

Hopefully a wee bit more patience is all we'll need.
