Ordered my Sager NP9170 the other day from XoticPC. Took advantage of the free upgrades for the 750GB 7200 RPM HDD and the 16GB 1600mhz RAM. Also went with the 680m after seeing all the issues with the 7970m and figured now was not the time to try AMD again. Last time I had a non nVidia card was back when the ATi 9800 Pro first dropped from $450 to $150 :p. I also have a 512GB Crucial M4 I will be throwing in the Sager.

Don't know how XoticPC works as far as orders and inventory but I did notice on Sager's website that the 680m is on backorder right now with an ETA of August 15. Also waiting for XoticPC to finalize processing of my order since I forgot to type in my middle initial since my credit card has it on there and I guess my bank is super picky about that. Hopefully it will ship by Friday or middle of the week after.

I am upgrading from a Toshiba piece of crap that burnt out a month out of warranty. The sata controller burnt up so not worth fixing. Might put it on ebay and get $50 or so if someone out there needs the screen or keyboard since those are the only parts that work right.\

I also have a desktop that is REALLY showing its age now. In it I have 4GB of DDR2, an AMD Phenom 9850 2.5GHz quad core, and two 8800GTSs running in SLi.

The 680M was out of stock for such a short amount of time it really didnt affect build times.

I think it did.. it definitely affect dell.co.uk.

I was planning to buy Alienware M17X before .. but they didn't had 680M in stock and their sales team sucked at getting back on timelines.. so i started looking out for other options and thats when I found out about MySN :)) and saved a couple of hundred quids \o/

I'd be curious to see how much time it takes in total to get to you, given that I'm probably going to go with a Sager NP9150/30 from XoticPC.

A lot of times people order, then never update when they got their laptop or how it's performing. If you're busy and you can't, no problem.

Still waiting. I have been reading other threads from people saying they have been waiting for 3+ weeks, but from what they said they got other options like the thermal paste, overclocking, stuff like that. When I talked to the customer service rep at XoticPC I asked if I was getting it right from Sager or if it had to be shipped to Xotic first and she said that since I am not getting any of the XoticPC options that I will get it right from Sager. XoticPC has been a pretty good experience so far minus the issue with my credit card not being verified as fast as I would like because that is an issue with my bank not Xotic (my bank is really picky on what it says for cardholder name).

Good to hear you've had a good experience RockTheShazbot.
Sager build times have been in the 6-10 business day time frame for their builds. If you do add some custom work like Overclocking or Custom skin or anything saying "Will add X days" it will add some time to that as they do ship to us to do those, then we ship to you. Otherwise they will ship directly to you.

mySN UK was 10 days. as soon as your funds are taken out start the countdown instead of looking for updates.
