    Thanks!

I have no experience with either card but from what I hear the 9800 is better and also runs cooler and uses less power.

    Better in every way!

The exact same. It's the 9800M GTX that is better than the 8800M GTX.

The setup you see on my tagline with Vista Ultimate for $2300.

But I also had to sell my soul and my first born. Dunno if I should factor that in. :D

That's exactly what I would get if I ordered M8660. Good choices. But Deathwinger... how can you say that's expensive for so little if it costs that much for everyone and you basically got the same thing except blue-ray player and you sold your first born =p.

and if you ordered it with a credit card, most credit card companies "I know AMEX does", the card company adds another year to the manufacturers warranty, as long as the manufacturer's warranty does not go past 3 years.

$1650 for a nearly identical setup as yours. Only diff is the 4gb ram you got bro vs. my 2.

Well...plus I also got the 5 years of lowjack that usually costs 200+ and the carry bag, and the bluetooth....

I have to say. As one of the PCMW Memorial Day order'ers, who was determined to stick with them unless I got a better deal (before all the drama happened with my payment).

Xotic will give you one heck of a deal as well.

I know that part of the reason for my fortune was the Sager/Clevo gpu mix up. But it also wouldn't have happened if Justin hadn't worked to make sure that I got the free upgrade due to my original order of the ATI card.

PCMW had given me the Memorial Day deal, as well as a $150 student discount (I used to upgrade the gpu). I tried to bargain for more, but they said they were in the red on my order.

Here is what I had from them:

Model name: Edge 15.4" Super Notebook

    Intel® Core™2 Duo P9500 (2.53Ghz/45nm/1066Mhz/6MB)
4096MB Ultra Speed DDR3 1333MHz Extreme Performance Memory
    320GB @ 7,200 SATA300 Storage 16MB (1x 320GB 7200RPM)
    Standard 8X High Speed DVD-RW / CD-RW DL Burner
nVIDIA Geforce 9800M GT 512MB DDR3 EXTREME GPU
    15.4" HD WSXGA+ 1680x1050 Crystal-View X-treme Bright LCD
**SALE** Built In 802.11AGN 300mbps Ultra Speed Wireless Adapter
    No Bluetooth
Standard Limited 1 Year Warranty Coverage

With cash discount I was getting this for $2096 shipped

Now with XoticPC I got the exact same system with bluetooth (a $69 option from PCMW), $25 gas card, notebook bag, and.. oh yeah the T9600.
All for $2115.50 Shipped (After cash discount and student discount 50% shipping).

    TO RECAP

For $19.50 difference I got the T9600 (+$130 PCMW), Bluetooth (+$69 PCMW), $25 gas card (+$25 anywhere), Notebook bag (+$15),
the peace of mind of buying from XoticPC.......................Priceless.

    Damn good deal there.

I'd rather have the P9500 over the T9600 as it uses much less energy and the performance difference will never be noticeable.

Hey bud - you could have gotten a MUCH better deal if you asked for stuff extra because of the Shananigans. Deathwinger and I got crazy stuff because they acknowledged their mistakes.

    Free stuff I got...

Carry bag, Bluetooth, 5 years lowjack, 320GB hard drive, ability to trade in my GPU in future (without paying the extra premium for the warranty).

I tried multiple times. Every rep that I talked to insisted that they were in the red on my system, and couldn't do anything for me. But perhaps I didn't push enough.

Oh well. We both got good deals and will be looking forward to some fun new systems.

Well ETA, i guess means arrival to SAGER not the customer. Since the 8th is a friday, and they dont operate during the weekends, expect a week or so for testing/building the following week. And the shipment the week after.
