I posted the faq stuff before and you guys directed me to Sager, thanks for that!

I placed the order today but have a few questions, i am paying on friday so still have time to change a few things. I dealt with Ron who was very helpful.

It will mostly be used for gaming (wow, but want something that will last awhile) and surfing the net.

Is bluetooth worth it, besides a mouse anything i would use it for? Also on the display should i stick with the cheaper 1600 ress display or bump it up to the 1900 display?

I would think text would be pretty small with the native ress at 1900.

Only thing i am thinking off adding is the bluetooth and maybe up the hard drive to 7200 rpm 80g instead of the 5400.

Here is what i ordered though and comments will be much appreciated.

Thank you for placing your order with Powernotebooks.com

We will e-mail your Order Confirmation shortly.

that is more or less what I ordered, except I got 100GB 7200 rpm drive and I stayed with the dvd/cdrw drive cuz I don't burn dvds

I wouldn't get bluetooth with that model, first off because it comes with bluetooth 1.2... the latest one is bluetooth 2.0 with EDR (faster and better signal). I plan on buying a usb bluetooth 2.0 + EDR adapter for around 30 bux. its as small as a thumbdrive, so it fits easily in your laptop case.

also, i don't know if ron told you (he's handling my order too btw) the wsxga+ screens are out of stock with Sager right now (my order has been sitting there for about 2 weeks now waiting for a screen!), but I didnt want wuxga+ because, like you said, those resolutions have really small fonts.
this may or may not apply to you, because the 512MB vid cards do not come out until july 5th, so your order won't ship before then anyway.
but if you talk to ron (or if paladin44 stops by this thread), he'll probably confirm a possible delay on your order due to wsxga+ being out of stock. last I heard, they should come in this week, but then again, sager has been saying that every week for the past 2-3 weeks :p

then again, I believe this order delay to be a blessing in disguise. the 512MB geforce 7900 gtx wasnt available as an option when I ordered, but now thanks to the delay, I can upgrade to it. woohoo!

If you don't know what Bluetooth is, then you don't need it - it looks like an unnecessary upgrade for you.

I'd go for the 1680x1050 display if you haven't seen a 1920x1200 resolution before; it can be small for some users. What resolution are you using now?

I advise upgrading the hard drive to a 7200RPM, it will help performance in anything that uses the hard drive.

I know what bluetooth is just wodering if it was worth it to toss on. I will upgrade the HD to a 7200. only thing I really see using bluetooth for is a mouse if there is a decent one. From the sounds of it looks like I will be skipping it though.

Thanks for the input so far.

In that case, I suggest either saving that $50 for accessories, or perhaps upgrade the processor to the T2500.

I would upgrade the HD to 100GB @7200RPM & the CPU to T2500. The cost to upgrade those components are quite decent on the NP5760 IMO.

Sager expects to be able to ship the WSXGA+ screen by July 5th.

    I second this.
They gave a great deal on the HDD and CPU option.
Even if you buy the HDD separately from Newegg or some other place, it is actually as cheap if you buy it directly from the reseller.
    100gb 7200rpm HDD and T2500 2.0GHz CPU would be my choice :D
Don't even bother with the T2600 IMHO.

    As for the Bluetooth.
Unless you already own Bluetooth devices or plan to have soem soon, don't worry about it.
BT Devices are also more expensive.
I actually now wish I didn't get the BT Option as I am not going to have any BT devices for at least another 3-6 mths I think, if ever.

Also, I you can buy the BT Module at a later date and I heard its easy to install yourself.
