Yep, I left everything as default (except RAM), but still it is going to be a nice laptop for me :) I need the -$56.07 cashrebate so I am going to pay by Check, which I send today...what do you think, will XoticPC start to get the stuff for my laptop (and save some time) or only after the money arrived for them? :(

What was the avg time until this laptop was built for you guys? I hope I will not be disappointed in this laptop :)
    I R SO HAPPY NOW! :D

(p.s.: I hope XoticPC is going to test it REALLY good before they send it out...wouldn't be nice if I receive a not 100% working laptop :( )

They usually only start the buid when the money has cleared.

There is no reason to believe that they won't send you a 100% working laptop

I'm pretty sure they'd wait until they at least recieve the check, maybe until its cashed.

Whats the Graphics in your sig Lappy?
(I'm wondering why you even needed to buy a new one?)

I will have to join you, except i believe it should be the Clevo club, as mine is from Kobalt :D
    I got the same as u but with P9500 and 320Gb 7200HD

Well excited. Gotta wait a while tho cause Kobalt do a 48 hour stress test for each componant apparantly!
I bet i paid a premium by having to get it in the UK. £1750 with 3 year warranty, carry bag and dead pixel guaruntee.
    How much was urs?

If you want the cash discount, you can pay with a check but give them your CC number. They will run your card to see if the total fits with in your balance, if so they will begin to build/ship your laptop right away, and you will have 10 days to send in a check to them. That way you don't have to wait but you still get the cash discount.

    From there site:

Cash Discounted Price "Secured Payment" Option
Take advantage of our rebate offer, without any payment delays or additional expenses.
Credit card payment rules must be followed, we can only ship to the credit card billing address or alternate address added to the credit card account.
    Secured Payment/Order Instructions:

    1. Select "Credit Card" as your payment option.
    2. Provide credit card information on our final checkout page.
    3. Place a note in our comment box in the checkout that you would like to use our "Secured Payment" option and send in a check/money order.

We will authorize the standard price to your credit card, but we will not capture the authorization. We will email you your cash discounted price and will allow up to 10 Days from the order date for the payment to reach our office. By securing the payment for your order on your credit card, we are able to process the order immediately, and allow you to take advantage of our special cash discounted prices.
Detailed instructions will be emailed to you after the order is placed.
When mailing your payment in please write your order number on the check.
Once your cash payment has arrived and cleared, the credit card authorization will be removed.

Oh damm, I didn't notice that and I selected Check (The check has been sent) in the first time :( Is it still possible to use this option even if my order status is " - - - Order Pending Payment (Check, Money Order, Credit Card , PayPal or Wire) - - -", or it is too late?
(Is it possible to change payment method to this?)

Probably, why don't you call up and ask. Basically, by giving the credit card number and letting them do an authorization against it, you've basically guaranteed that they'll get paid, either when the check clears or, if it bounces, on the credit card (in which case, probably no discount).

Since the credit card is only being used to, in essence, guarantee payment on the check, and is not actually being charged, I don't see any reason in principle why they couldn't do this.

However, it ultimately depends on their policies and business practices, so the best thing to do is give them a call and ask.

Jeez, what is it with these threads? Can't we make a single thread where all those who has ordered a new notebook can post?

I'm getting sick of seeing these "oh wohoo I ordered a blah blah". It's enough already.

You’re going to love that computer, especially when you get everything like you want it. It’s so easy to take apart, plus it looks good. I keep a polishing cloth with me, because I like to keep it clean. It does pick up finger prints, but you don’t need to use chemicals to clean the screen or body of the unit.

xotic is only a reseller not a builder. As soon as the funds clear they will place the order for your laptop to sager and sager will ship it..also known as drop-ship.

Now if they do a through testing like a burn in test, maybe. But what I think sager does is most likely they run PC-Doctor if it passes it ships....that's just my opinion unless I stand corrected.
