Wow, thats a nice fully loaded system.
You just need to get a notebook cooler... Zalman ZM-NC1000
And a nice bag/backpack to protect that beast. (the bag that it comes with is fine for carrying it around occasionally, but does not get extra cushion for drops or bumping into things) -
one step ahead Gophn, the zalman ZM-NC1000 was ordered WITH the icemat siberia headset
still looking for a decent bag, but nothing has caught my eye yet.. -
I just ordered a 5790 too, does it really run that hot that I will need a notebook cooler?
-
with any gaming computer, it is always a good idea to get a cooler to help get the heat out quicker.
-
The main thing that I would recommend the notebook cooler is not just the fans or airflow... rather:
- having the notebook elevated and tilted
- having a guarantee that the notebook in on a flat and cool surface.
Example: if I were to leave my notebook on a table, the table's surface will start warming up after a while of gaming, then the temps rise. The temps may not be impressive on a notebook cooler (during average/warm days), but they are stable and dont fluctuate.
The new Clevo notebooks are already extremely cool with the new thermal designs, but its a piece of mind of making sure that you wont block any vents by using a cooler. -
Nice setup there for the price.
Dont mean to hijack your thread, but why does everyone recommend the Zalman ZM-NC1000? Is it the best for the 5790? -

back to the original question...
I would drop the Ram to at max 2gb--memory ALWAYS comes down, and you are paying a huge premium for 4gb
I would drop the 200GB Hitachi Travelstar 3GB/S SATA 300 7200RPM to the 160gb seagate momentus (sata 300 7200), or maybe even smaller. I have tons of external storage and really don't need to store everything I own on my laptop when a portable does what I need it to -
Hey... It's just like the one I've ordered, except I got it with XP Pro and 2gb ram (2 x 1gb) ... oh, and I also got an extra battery so I can take it with me and show it off
I ordered before the fingerprint reader model was available but justin just said that it will be included. Those models are being made now.
btw, I got the 200g hdd too, I like the extra space for media etc -
I would dicker with Justin to get free shipping! Maybe if you mention this forum, perhaps he'll be generous and kick in the free shipping!

How did you go getting shipping quickly pbcustom98? Did you find there were delays with any of the parts?
-
well the 5790 had a backorder on the 7950GTX, so i bumped it to the 9260. from there, they got to building it, and shipped it out friday (im assuming since i got it on monday).
-
They said I should get it in 5-7 days. Does that mean business days?

nice setup, i dont need a laptop till next spring, but it will for sure be one of these, best laptop for my needs by far
