I've been advised by friends to stay as far away from cubehub as possible
    e.g : BEWARE SGCubeHub [Archive] - www.hardwarezone.com.sg
I'm wary of their services because my friend had almost similar experience .

The price for cubehub is so much more expensive then compared to Malibal
for the spec im looking at it will cost me 2.6k SGD whilst Malibal only charges me SGD 2400 ( USD 1479 for laptop + UPS Worldwide Expedited 260USD + 7% Singapore tax)

Im not very sure about insurance because i heard it is very difficult to claim insurance through shipping companies.

    My current situation:
I have a trusted friend living in US. I am planning to ship the laptop to him ( free shipping CONNUS) and ask him to repack the laptop into USPS flat rate box ( abt USD 50-60 to singapore) this will save me 200 usd and also 7% tax in singapore ( ll be shipped as personal item).
    what do you guys think?
    is this feasible

    Or

Is getting a sager in singapore not a viable option. After seeing sager i cant imagine myself getting other laptop. I feel it's value for money and i love the plain design and customizability.

    Thank you

I prefer postal shipping as the brokerage fee's are less than the courier company's

The normal shipping options from most retailers sites would not include postal I am sure
If I were you I would contact each and ask if postal would be possible to your location
Some may consider postal too risky , and it would not be advisable in December over the holidays

Why not try a mail forwarding company? You'll get a US address ship the items you bought there and have it sent to your home country for a lesser shipping fee.

It is the same price for USPS Express Mail International Insured from the USA too. However, it is 5 days to reach the customer :)
