Anyone able to overclock their new 8800m GTX in the Sager NP9262 ( or any variation of D901c)

    I haven't been successful.

Ntune is the only application that seems to read the correct clock rates but only allows adjustment to something lower than the stock 500/800.

Rivatuner does not report the correct speeds and does not allow you to change anything.

AtiTool says that this card is already overclocked, pushes it to 200/100 and then goes weird and can't do anything.

I have tried three different drivers.

The stock one off the disk, 167.43, 169.21, 169.28.

I have tried Windows XP 32-bit as well as Vista 64-bit.

I understand that the CPU cannot be overclocked but I thought GPU's might be.

Perhaps it is because there is no specific driver for the 8800M GTX yet? we have to wait for a new driver?

All drivers seem to work just fine though, with 3dmark06 scores within 300 of each other, so the speed is good. ( around 10300 in WinXP , 9800 in Vista )

There is already a thread about the overclocking for 570ru's. It seems that their versions of the 8800m can be overclocked.

    Any insight on this?

From what other threads have said you'd have to use I think 169.09 or .04 in order to overclock.

Just out of curiosity, what are the other specs on your rig? And out of those 3 you posted, which got the highest marks?

I'll try out those drivers soon.

Just updated my sig with my system specs.

the highest marks came from the 169.21, but it was only like 50 points more than 169.28. Both of these were 300 points faster than the stock drivers.

Fastest marks came from windows XP.

Have not tested gaming performance in Vista yet. will post more info in the coming days.

The older drivers ( .09 and .04 ) do not recognize the 8800M GTX has an available option... I guess I will simply wait for new drivers.

I would expect that once SLI gets finalized, all the 8800M GTX drivers will be more official and faster.
