Hey, I just had a few questions on overclocking...
    1. What exactly is overclocking? I know that it makes stuff go faster... but can anyone give me a better answer?
    2. What can you overclock
    3. Can you overclock the 2090-V (with default hardware)? If so, how?

    Thx in advance.

Processor is 2.0ghz, making it go 2.2ghz is overclocking. Usually involves overclocking the FSB (which the cpu speed is based off), either via software like Clockgen or hardware mod. Clockgen looks to be the only option for you, unless you have a 667-bus cpu which you can mod. I don't think it's worth the hassle as you're not really gonna get very big gains (clockgen doesn't overclock by large amounts).

If you are planning on overclocking anything to increase performance, just go with overclocking the gpu over anything else, it is relatively easy so if you have never overclocked before you will pretty much get what you have to do. I suggest using atitool for gpu overclocking, just go up in increments of 5-10 the scan for artifacts. When you find an artifact just go down maybe 20 and you should be good.

You cant overclock the CPU, I think. The Intel chipset has no option for changing the FSB.

You can overclock the graphics card. Here overclocking the memory should give you the best results. It runs at 400mhz. I think overclocking to 450mhz should run pretty stable. ATITool and RVtune work for this.

I can understand overclocking the CPU makes it faster but what are the benefits of overclocking the GPU?

also is it the same with overclocking GPUs and CPUs?you lose life?

I think overclocking the gpu is more effective than overclocking the cpu. Any core 2 duo card will be more than enought for gaming and such, and I think wave stated that you can't overclock these processors anyways. But really gpu overclocking will only give you very slight increase in fps say around the area of 5, but I do it sometimes just for fun. As far as lifetime is concerned overclocking the gpu should make you laptop last less longer as long as you treat it nicely and have sufficient cooling :)
