    Hello,
I just traded my desktop for this laptop and i am trying to overclock the 580M, the memory overclocks fine but when i overclock the core clock from 620- 660, the shader clock goes from 1240-1280. It loses its 2-1 ratio. Any ideas?
Note i have the 306.97 Drivers.
    Thanks.

It just doesn't add up but nvidia inspector looks fine.

I've determined it was just version 6.5 of GPUZ.
I am not overclocking my GTX 580M however i am unsure of how far to push it.
Furmark shot up to 85C @ 3 mins and i've read of a few people killing their gpus.

I'm new to overclocking laptops and could use some help :D

AFAIK the two are hardlocked in the chip with one area of the chip you can take out of sync by modding the bos (but not the shaders) so I would say GPU-Z is being a bit funny.
