So apparently this new 560m is getting the following results without overclocking:

    3DMark 06: 16591
    3DMark 11: 1959

This is done with the 275.27 verde drivers, which really improves results over 26x.xx drivers. But i havent done any overclocking yet.

    Base Clocks are:

    Core Speed * 775 MHz
    Shader Speed * 1550 MHz
    Memory Speed * 1250 MHz

Has any one done overclocking?? If so please post ur stable results, as well as drivers used to achieve that score in order to compare. thanks

I overclocked up to 850 MHz, but could have easily gone higher. I just had no intention/need to actually do so. Also, check out the beta 275.5 beta. I improved about 10% in 3DMark 11 without any overclocking. (You may need to use Atomosk's modded inf files)

    Hey guys!

I've overclocked my Clevo P151HM1 with the 560m in it and pretty much found its limit.

As per above, the base speeds are:

    Core Speed * 775 MHz
    Shader Speed * 1550 MHz
    Memory Speed * 1250 MHz

    I managed;

    Core Speed * 920 MHz
    Shader Speed * 1840 MHz
Memory Speed * 1625 MHz (Could possibly go higher but MSI afterburner wont go past 1625)

    I havent tested 3D mark 2011 yet, only been doing vantage, but my results where;

    Vantage Stock: 9,371 Marks
    Vantage Overclock: 11,025 Marks

Definatly made difference when gaming thats for sure! Temps are about 75 degrees celcious with fan on auto, havent tried fn + 1 yet when overclocked.

The driver set im using is from Clevos website, the 268.49 WHQL. Im tempted to use the 275.33 with the modded inf and re overclock, but dont know yet since im pretty happy with a ~ 2K score increase!

I dont know how people are getting 930/940 on the core, because as soon as i set that, it artifacts...maybe driver change will fix?

Ive noticed unlinking the core and shader is pretty useless as if you unlink them, and move core the shader auto moves with it anyway! (even though its UNLINKED) and vise versa if you move shader the core still moves...

Anyway here are my links :)

    Overclock

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2630QM Processor,CLEVO P150HMx score: P11025 3DMarks

    Quick EDIT:

I used the latest version of vantage which is version 1.1.0

If you use any older version the score is completly different (cpu score from 17k to like 43k) due to the gpu helping the cpu in testing, This changes the overall score too, so if you run vantage, make sure its 1.1.0

Thank u very much for posting these results. they seem to be very good even with the stock drivers. if for whichever reason u decide to update drivers, u can always post ur new vantage scores and indeed test higher clock to see if new drivers fix arrtifacts in vantage. personally i havent used vantage as i only take 3dmarks 6 and 11 as a baseline, but will get on vantage to compare with ur results.

    thank u

What software are you using to overclock? MSI Afterburner, NVIDIA System Tools?

I also agree MSI afterburner is the best for overclocking, but have found various cards who can actually overclock MORE than that of the limits of msi afterburner. if u find ur limits with MSI afterburner then ur good, if ur limits can go higher than u can try Nvidia tools or evga precision

After uninstalling the current Nvidia drivers, do I have to run Driver Cleaner before I install the new drivers?

BTW, my stock 3dmark06 score was 15,348 on the 267.78 drivers. Seemed a little low.

    Specs: 2630/4GB/320GB/560m

Nah dont bother, just uninstall them from the control panel, reboot, it should install a basic vga driver for the mean time, then just run the new driver you intend to install. Be sure to do custom installation and then tick "peform clean installation" i believe it is...

I am game stable at 900/1800/900, 925/1850/915 if I want to push it for benchmarks.

Isn't that memory clock below the stock? I can get mine to 850/1700/1350 stable for gaming.

Exactly what does increasing the clocks of core/shader/memory do separately? Do each part determine performance of particular process?

Driver clearer is actually bad for Windows 7 because of how it handles various versions of drivers and libraries in the driver cache and winsxs. It could do more harm than good.

3600 = data rate, with GDDR5 thats 4 times the reference clock, with DDR its twice the reference clock.

Nvidia like to quote the data rate.

I'm getting 75c during heavy gaming with 850/1700/1350. Overall, no change in temp. I think this is mostly because the voltage hasn't changed. Increase voltage = more electricity = more heat. Also, increased voltage = more stability at higher clock, but voltage is locked on this card.

Its much faster, so its not in the same league.

Not as locked as the Asus one lol.

Our bioses contain steps for 0.82/0.85/0.88/0.9/0.93/0.95/0.98/1.00

    The asus has 0.82v 2d and 0.97v 3d only.

What i meant was that I havent found a way to increase the voltage above 1.0 to increase stability at higher clock and its prolly good idea not to raise it anyway.

Is there more info on this topic regarding the new drivers? I want to overclock the 560M on my NP8170 as well. I tried just downloading the notebook drivers from Nvidia for 560M and when I try to install it, it says that I don't have the right version. Where do I find the "modded inf" for the latest drivers?

    Thx

The 560M can overclock higher than the 460M because the 460M is stuck with 0.95V. I wonder if the voltage can be modified by the bios.

460M bios voltages are locked down harder than anything I have seen before.
