I've been keeping an eye on this and I find that the 'a' key on my P150EM is less responsive than every other key for some reason. The computer doesn't register keystrokes on that key more than any other one, in my experience. Has anyone else noticed something like this?

Less responsive keys seem to be a common problem with the p150em/p170em (I believe they use the same keyboard). I've been dealing with less responsive m, y, tab, caps lock, left shift, and enter keys. I'm currently waiting for a replacement keyboard, should arrive by Friday. Others claim to have no problem, so I'm hoping to have the same result with the new keyboard. I'd contact your reseller for a replacement.

Did you find replacing the keyboard to be a fairly straightforward procedure? I'd rather not send my laptop in but I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to this sort of thing.

I replaced mine when I got it because of the unresponsive keys. 100% better after the replacement. It is a very straightforward process.

Simply pull (Yes, you can do it with your hands gently) on the right side of the trim where the power button is, and the trim will come off, it pops right off. Take the screws out and gently lift the middle of the keyboard up to allow it to come out from the sides, then flip it upside down (Bring the top towards you) so you don't yank the cords out and remove them by pushing the sides of the clips away open. Two simple cords.

    In fact:

There we go, watch from 30 seconds on, it is exactly the same way, real simple.

Been hearing about the keyboards more then normal. Contact your reseller to see about getting it replaced. They may even send one out for you to swap yourself so you do have to send the computer in.

Yeah, I just had Sager send me a keyboard so I could swap it. My new one works like it should, and they even paid for return shipping.

any one having problems with the fn function key lag? I tend to turn of the backlit keybaord to save battery life but it basically never turns off on the first try, I have to press like 5 times, same goes for changing the volume some tiems, rest of the keys seem to be fine....

It's because the Fn combo only dims the lights, it has different levels of brightness, so makes sense that you have to press it multiple times to turn it off entirely.

Edit: just realised you have the same problem with volume...
