    Hi all,

I just got my P150EM back from RMA and still very new to this device (coming from an inspiron 1520). Now i understand the event viewer errors/warnings will never be at peace, but i've had a heap of warnings for Event ID 37: -

" The speed of processor * in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for * seconds since the last report."

my machines currently equipped with: -

    i7-3720qm
    16gb ram
    gtx 680m
    killer wireless n 1103
    256gb M4 msata ssd
    750gb data drive

Does anyone else get these issues? I havent seen any drastic effects from it apart from the fact it shows up every now and then, although having read from other people having the same issues on different PC's, they had it worse, like hanging and almost 50-60% CPU performance decrease.

Also having issues with wireless, where it would disconnect from the network altogether then come back up after a couple of minutes, it seems to run better when i have Qualcomm atheros bandwidth control off.

Thanks all and much appreciated :)

This happened a few times when my fans were failing. My GPU in particular would jam and fail to spin up once in a while. A lube job helped. I suspect it's a failsafe in the EC that kills the clocks when it doesn't detect commanded fan speed (irrespective of which fan). Try to monitor your fan RPMs once in a while to see if they stay relatively constant. If they flucuate by much more than ±10RPM about mean at any given level, then the sleeve might need to be lubricated. You can use HWinfo64 to monitor fan RPM.

Otherwise, check your temperatures if they are abnormally high. If they are, this could again indicate faulty fans or bad thermal paste on CPU (or maybe even GPU).

could you run 3dmark11/vantage/3dmark06 so we can check your scores. you have almost the same spec as me and you can check my scores in my signature below. also download nvidia inspector and core temps and post them on here. you can find all the software also in my sig below.

Thanks for the replies! funny thing is fans "seem" to spin up correctly and was monitoring gpu temps and CPU temps in bf3 neither seemed to be abnormally high.

Gpu was averaging 72deg and max was about 76 thereabouts
CPU was just over the 70's

Checked event viewer and warnings were there, same with an ACPI warning which says something about BIOS and EC, will post that up when I get into work.

I will definitely do those test and post up the results in about 2hrs from now.

    Much appreciated,
    King

Here is the warnings i get after the warnings from Event ID 37

    Event ID 15 : ACPI
" : The embedded controller (EC) returned data when none was requested. The BIOS might be trying to access the EC without synchronizing with the operating system. This data will be ignored. No further action is necessary; however, you should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS."

Downloading what you asked and will post up benchmarks and cpu/gpu info shortly.

Benchmarks, they are similar to yours MrDJ. I got that Event ID 37 warning after i did first run on 3Dmark11 though.

I've checked the rpm for both fans and they seem fine, no constant fluctuating.

    CPU min: 2109 max: 2123
    GPU min: 2485 max: 2507

they move up and down at a steady pace depending on activity on the machine.

Also Event ID 15: ACPI, is not actually an issue i found out. The warning gets executed every time i run HWinfo, read online somewhere that its to do with the sensors and CPU #0 in HWinfo.
