Has anyone else had a power button stick. Mine won't come out and I can barely turn the laptop on now.

Try prying off the speaker bar (gently!) and reseating it. Also, if you're on battery, you have to hold down the power button for a couple of seconds before the computer turns on. Kinda useless imo, but it's a feature to prevent the computer from getting accidentally turned on.

    Hi,

I bought a brand new metabox laptop W230SD, since I opened it up from the box I gotta hold down the power button for 2 seconds to turn it on. I googled everywhere and couldn't find anyone had the similar issue until I saw your post here. Do you reckon this was a feature to prevent the computer from getting accidentally turned on? I can't find anywhere which explains this feature not even from their official website.

    thanks
    Frank

Whoa uber-necro. This thread is coming up on 3 years.. And unless your power button is stuck it isn´t even related?
Anyway, you usually have to hold the button for a short while before it boots.
