P150EM - Stuck bios Logo

Hi there folks!

I have a P150EM with @Prema bios and an GTX1070, everything was working fine.. but two days ago my notebook turned off like (power off) and now it doesnt boot up it is stuck in prema logo...

Tried taking of all components and only 1 ram, clear cmos... but nothing still stuck in the boot logo...

Could this be that the bios got corrupted? I hope not!!
Do you guys have any ideas in what to do?

 

When you cleared the cmos, was that with fn+d or removing the battery and pressing power on for 30s?

Try reseating the ram into different dimms and see if that helps.

 

If you are sure about resetting the BIOS with all right ways, then If you have another GPU try it, and if you can re-flash the GPU vBios, it could be GPU problem.

 

Removed the battery and seated the ram different slots even.

But i did not change anything.. the card was working fine i was doing nothing in it just looking some forums and YT so weird...

 

Sorry for what happens, but sometimes weird issues is what you get when you try to mix the new tech with the old one,

Did you test both ram sticks one at a time? Do you have an older ram stick to test if this is ram issue?

also unplug any devices connected to the laptop, except the charger.

edit, can you enter the bios mashing F2 or is it just stuck?

 

The bios is STUCK i can press Caps, Sroll and Num Lock keys and they work (the light turn on) a little laggy wich is weird..

I've tried doing this without anything just the main parts!

 

Ok i've got an update... when i press fn+1 normaly the fans go full speed but right now it does nothing i think somehow the bios is got corrupted (the only thing that i can think of) should i try to flash original bios?

 

I was thinking maybe ram or drive failure at first glance. If you unplug the drives does it still behave the same?
Btw, is this machine able to boot without the mxm gpu? It most likely will enter an EC panic state but to see if that gets past the boot logo.

 

If i do this without the GPU the notebook doesnt boot it goes to no GPU warning and blink all lights and turn off

Hey guys just another update... i've changed it with a GTX780m (old buddy help me out always) and the notebook post... after it booted up in windows something weird started to heapen... Every 30 minutes the notebook shut off.. out of nowhere that bogled me.. but i got my @Prema bios and flashed it back (those flashing seconds always give me hibbie jibbies) and now it's working as usual with the 1070 no problems at the moment!! soooo weird

Testing it with Apex Legends and so far so good!

ps. Weird the FN key is not working!!!! Anyone??

pps. Nevermind is working weeird the full speed fan is now Fn+9 not Fn+1 (what the f!!) the other keys are fine...

 

That combo can be baked into the ECU so may have been edited.

 

That's strange. When you're typing does the key "9" register as a "9" or as "1"?

But good to see you managed to fix it!

 

As 9 lol not as 1 it's just the fn+1 that swapped to fn+9 so weird...
