So my very old 680m has finally given up the ghost.

A number of years back updated the bios on my laptop to prema mod to get the lovely little high speed fan switch.

Anyway pushing forward - I thought I could breath a bit of new life into this machine by getting myself setup with a 970m that I could order from China or something along those lines as they appear to be relatively cheap.

It looks like a driver .inf file mod is required to get the 970m playing nicely in my machine. Is that all that is required? Or do I need an updated BIOS even beyond what I currently have with the prema mod?

Also could someone please give me a heads up on what the deal is with prema mod these days?
Appears it is not longer possible to download his wonderful work?

I have been out of the loop for a while concerning all this so some info would be great!!

    Thank you all.

Of course you can put GTX 970M into P150EM from BIOS from Prema.
Because recently I put GTX970M 3GB into P170EM and it works properly without the need to modify the .inf driver

    I hope I helped you ;)

It will work on the stock bios and early prema bios too with an inf mod.

Ok that is terrific! Any suggested places that I can get my hands on the latest BIOS for the P150em? Google is not really providing me with much...

Also, has prema mod stopped allowing for public download of his mods?

Where did you order your GTX970M?

What BIOS did you use in your P170EM? And where did you get the latest one from?

Latest official one would be from your reseller.

Ok so my BIOS reads as 1.02.17
    1.02.11PM

I suppose updating to P150EM_17_11_PM_v2 is fine to do?

As I believe the v2 has the more easy plug and play method with the GTX970 without having to do driver .inf mods?

Any information concerning this would be wonderful - cheers!

    Start your own thread.

You are not clear on if the card worked before the bios flash or not. Either way the behavior sounds normal. Install the driver with a .inf mod.

It is difficult to get prema vBIOS. So you will have the original vBIOS.

The 965m, not sure if that got a modded vbios. The old tools might work on them however if you can find them.

Hello, my problem is complete solved. I write to eurocom support and they send me me eurocom prema bios v3 and modified vbios for my gtx965m. Perfect support. Now work perfect cpu and gpu overclocking.
