    Hi,

I'm desperately looking for a p150em bios in Bin format.
I corruped my bios, no backup, and I'm now trying with an Ez Programmer to re-write the chip.
Unfortunately I only found the bios/ec packages from Stack and Prema version, but not the single bios .bin file.

Would anybody have a bios bin file to share?
Thank you very much for your help!

If a bios comes in bin just change the extension to rom and the other way around. The extension doesn't matter in the end

Hi, thank you for your hint!
Actually I have in the package several files, with one bigger than the others (6144Ko), and that has no extension.
I just tried to rename it with .bin, so it's recognized by the Programmer. But when I try to write to the chip, I have an alert saying File larger than the chip capacity. If I write anyway, it still doesn't boot.
Here are the files I have on the picture

You'll have to wait until someone with a programmer can help you. Don't own one or have the skills to help ya

The files you find are normally updates, you need a full dump.

Hi everyone, sorry for the late answer, this time I was out of internet connexion...
Thank you very much for your answers!

@Kostasgreece: I'm not sure about the choice between U25 and U39.
The chip I'm toying with on the motherboard is a 25VF016B, which was just behind the bios battery so I supposed it was the bios chip.
But when I found the Service Manual for Clevo p150em, it shows another chip for bios, MX25L1606EM2I-12G U25
I'm a bit lost now... Impossible to find a MX25L1606EM2I-12G on the motherboard.

    I would say then that I need a U25, but it's just a guess.

this motherboard has two bios chips. the U39 and U25 are bios chips on your motherboard . if you have a bios programmer and you know to solder and unsolder them, I can help you with the files.

I just checked a picture I took of the chip I tested on my motherboard. It's labelled U25!

    Picture: https://ibb.co/1rFz6rN

I didn't see the U39 one, I'll see tomorrow when I get back home if I can find it.
The power went out when updating the bios, I don't know if it affects the U25 or U39.

Would the U39 chip be for EC?

I have a programmer (EZP2019+) with a Test Clip to connect to the chip directly on the board, so I don't have to de-solder it.

Do you know where I could find the files?

Wow thank you for pointing me to the U39! I don't know if would have found it, it's much harder to reach than the U25.
And the big black tape is covering the U39 marking too!

    it's this one right?
