Hey guys I have a P150EM with a 7970M I can't seem to change brightness of my screen,

Fn + F8 and F9 brings up the on screen display but the value doesn't change at all. Its always on max.

The brightness bar in Power Options is also missing, I think this happened since I installed Catalyst 12.11 Beta3, just tried upgrading to beta 11 and same problem. anyone have similar issues or solutions?

Finally fixed it, for those who may run into this problem the solution is here:
    Can't adjust display brightness - Page 2
Anyone still unable to solve the problem try the following:

Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager

Once the Device Manger box opens expand the "Monitors" tab

Left Click and Uninstall the monitor listed

Then select the Scan for Hardware Changes Icon

Sounds bizarre, but the adjust display brightness should reappear.

Did this resolve being able to adjust the brightness setting on the OSD using the FN keys? Or did it bring back your brightness control in Windows display settings?

Both, the OSD was always showing up, but the values wont change whether I try to increase or decrease the brightness. The fix fixed both changing brightness via GN Keys and Windows display settings/Power options

Is your OS win 8? If yes, please use 12.8 driver

Ah, very interesting that it fixed both. Thanks for the update! I know there were a few Asus users than ran into an identical issue.
