My CPU Fan on my P150EM is making a loud noise, it just started about a month ago. It's on the right side of the laptop when I'm using it, I can put my ear to it and hear it clearly coming from the CPU fan.
I have the 3610, haven't had this noise before this, it used to be quiet enough to use in class for note taking but now it gets loud and has this clicky noise as its running occasionally. Even without using CPU intensive programs. If I just run the laptop it starts to make the noise before I even run anything.
I took the fan out, cleaned it with dust off, and checked for blockages in the air flow or something it could be hitting repetitively inside the case then reinstalled it and it still makes the same noise.
It is very annoying and I may have to purchase another smaller laptop for school that is quieter and has better battery life and a smaller charger. Lugging the 6.8 lb laptop and 1.5lb or whatever charger is a bit much for class when I have to walk about 1 to 2 miles a day between classes along with a few lb backpack and few lb of books and folders my backpack easily hits the 20 lb mark. It's like working out.... Lol.
I may get a T100 transformer with windows 8 just to run MS Office and take notes in class, 10 hr battery life and less than 3lb, and basically silent.... $350-400 isn't bad for that....
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?? Thank you!

Have you checked temperatures? If the bearings are going on the fan you could replace it or oil it if it's running low.
P150EM CPU Fan noise is loud, not GPU fan, Too loud for Classrooms...
