I didn't expect it to be on parts sale so soon lol. This time I'm going to avoid using ICD7 and use Prolimatech PK-1 plus Phobya 7W/mk 0.5mm thermal pads, don't want any scratches on the 1k+ card :p. !

I'm going to benchmark the GTX 675M these days, will probably switch the GPU to GTX 680M after monday and do some benchmark, so Tuseday will probably be the time I upload the result.

The PCB looks very similar to the clevo 675M by the way, so the heatsink should be the same as the clevo GTX 675M's, if anyone is able to compare it with the dell GTX 675M. Not sure about the Sli yet, will check and take photos once I get it. Also a side by side shot between the clevo 675M and clevo 680M too. By the way the upgrademonkey in that post is the guy I bought it from.

Will probably do BF3 1 hour in the same map using High and follow by Ultra setting with no FXAA or MSAA on each card, there'll be 4 screenshots. Hopefully it'll give you a rough idea.

Bought it from upgrademonkey, I used to buy parts from them. here is the link: Nvidia GeForce GTX 680M 4GB DDR5 for clevo eurocom etc upgrademonkey-in stock | eBay

675m is a 40nm fermi card based off 2010 technology and is know to be the most power hungry gpu. Notebookcheck have it that the 680m takes around 10w less then a 675m. A 680m is as powerful as a 675m on sli which is 2 675m's.

That's $1200, the price of an entire laptop, for the GTX 680M. Ridiculousness.

Would overall cost less to sell the laptop, then buy a whole new one with the 680M.

Hate it when they do something like this

"Unsatisfied, return within 7 days for a FULL refund"

and then you get popped with this

"Please make sure you know exactly what you are buying, we have to charge

15% restock fee, for non faulty return."

Anyways, really anxious to see how the install and testing goes!

Standalone laptop gpu/cpu will always be expensive as they are manufactured for OEM's and have very short supply or it is not even intended for the consumer market.

What's a good way to remove the X-clamp on the GTX 675M? It's glued tight! This GTX 680M didn't come with one lol.

Edit: Oh my god I did it! Removed X-clamp without damaging the PCB, it was incredibly difficult. Now GTX 675M vs GTX 680M in dimension comparism photo shoot time!

OK first problem came: 3DMark11 won't run without crashing, 3DMarkVantage is running now and is running fine it seems.

I got tons of photos coming but I need time to finish them all :D

OK Vantage test finished: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3610QM Processor,CLEVO P15xEMx score: P21090 3DMarks

Core clock 324 MHz <<--- I don't know what happened here, maybe throttling?

I'll do some more tests, also for some reason MSIafterburner isn't reading the clock.

No, its just, as always with this question, 3dmark not quite lining up reading the clocks with loading the core before the tests.

I doubt your score would be normal running at less than 50% of stock clocks.

Hopefully it's just the 3Dmark isn't reading correctly. After the 10th try I finally got the 3DMark11 running, will post result in 10min. I'm using GPU-Z to monitor the temp now.

    3DMark11: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3610QM Processor,CLEVO P15xEMx score: P6074 3DMarks

Your combined score is really low compared to the 3610 and 7970m, which is quite odd.

You got a 4823, where the 7970s get around a 5400 or so.

No, the combined test uses Direct Compute, and the GTX Kepler cards suck at this, they generally perform bad when it comes to GPGPU performance, Nvidia took left out this stuff and keeps it for the professional cards, so AMD simply destroys the Kepler GTX when it comes to this.
