So I was wondering the possible causes for this.

It outputs the screen on an external monitor and works flawless like that. However the internal screen is black, no backlight nothing.

I tried to use the LVDS cable from my P157SM, screen was still black. That being said, the layout of the P157SM LVDS does seem different from a P150EM one.

So is the cable dead or is there something else I can try and do?

Then it is a signal issue not backlight. Which GPU do you have?

The internal Display is an LVDS display, meaning even if the dGPU which is a GTX 675M would be damaged it would not have any effect on the screen output of the notebook, since that one is driven by the integrated HD 4000 GPU. That being said, gaming on an external monitor seems to be working absolutely fine.

Unlikely the board, more often than not it's a screen or cable failure. Can you swap in a spare LCD?

I do have a spare monitor.

So the model has known issues with the LVDS cable?

Hmm ... I thought maybe you have an aftermarket GPU with vBios compatibility issues. Since you tried a new cable, the next step would be swapping the screen.

Not specifically, was speaking in general terms. Any model that runs into this, it's rarely a fault at the board.

So this is why you were asking about the solder bridge. A different panel is the next step.

Yeah, I thought at first it was something going on because of the bridge, however when looking at a P150SM and P157SM I noticed this is apparently normal on all P1xx models.

    I'll try another panel.

So the P157SM/P150SM cable doesn't work with the P150EM right?
