    P150EM can work normally if I remove the GPU (7079M)

    Hi guys, suddenly my laptop starts to crash and freeze, tried to format and reinstall everything, always during the 7970M drivers install the system crash or freeze and yes I have installed chipset and intel vga drivers before 7970.. everything was working perfect.. from on moment to another nightmare..

    No, you cannot remove the dGPU and use the laptop. You should try to get it repaired via RMA. If your warranty is up, you could buy another video card and put it back in, or flat out take the plunge and sell the machine for parts and buy a new one (with a longgg warranty). Hint: AMD mobile cards are not known for lasting much more than 1 year on this forum.

    If the card doesnt look like any parts have shorted out on it you can try baking it (at your own risk) to see if you can bring it back to life.

    I suggest if possible waiting about a week till nVidia officially announces their new mobile lineup. The 970M and 980M will rip apart all the current GPUs while running nice and cool =D

    You could also look into replacing your card. You could sell your current machine as no GPU of course too and get a new one.
