Just while typing the title I had to go back and press down much harder to type "g" twice. Periods are also an issue, as are "m"s occasionally. Any steps I can take to see what's up? I have the backlit keyboard.

Try and reseat the connector. If that doesn't work you may need a replacement keyboard.

The larger keys on my keyboard do that if you don't press them right in the middle (tab, shift etc).

It's really quite a poorly designed keyboard.

I'm having the same issue! I have a thread I started last week asking for help. My keys won't register sometimes unless pressed hard. Still waiting for LPC to call me back. Its been a week now and haven't heard from them. Quick to take money, but slow to help with issues!

Call or email back again. Larry's usually pretty quick but he's completely swamped at the moment from all the Ivy Bridge orders. I know, no excuse, but I know he's buried. About the only thing you could do likely is swap the keyboard yourself (through Sager RMA) and if you're not comfortable with that, send the laptop back for them to replace the keyboard.
