is it possible to somehow disable my secondary hdd in the odd without actually taking it out each time i want to do this?

i researched this a bit, but couldnt really find anything helpful on this. Mostly stupid questions as on why someone would want to do this and not really answering the question. hope you guys can help :D

I would think that if its not the primary drive, it would spin down when not in use. Check your power settings. I don't know as I don't yet have a laptop but thats what I would do.

there has to be something to do that, atleast in the bios...
