I am sure I read a post/thread about this but can't for the life of me find it now...

I currently have a P150HM with the UK Keyboard. If I bought a P150EM with a backlit US (or French or whatever) keyboard, could I switch to use my current UK Keyboard?

I know the P150EM will then not be backlit but that's not a big deal for me. I think that backlit keys are a bit overrated. Am more wanting to know if the keyboard size is the same?

    Cheers.

Nope, the keyboards aren't the same physical form factor. You'd have to contact your retailer and see if they can sell you a new UK keyboard fro your P150EM (or just order it with that one).

Actually mySN sells both the old non-backlit HM keyboard and the new backlit EM keyboards with the P150EM as you can see HERE so id say its fairly safe to assume the old HM keyboards DO fit on the new EM machines.
It doesnt work the other way around though becouse of the height as mentioned - you can fit a lower keyboard in the EM but not a higher one on the HM (and the backlight also wouldnt work as there is no way to power it).

Im also keeping the keyboard from my P150HM and ill be trying it on the new P170EM barebone i have on the way.
I can report if that works fine too.

We are going to try a P150HM keyboard in a P150EM Barebone next week so we will also keep you updated about the results.
