Hi guys, I have the p150hm with the radeon hd 6970m gpu. I had a question regarding "safe" temps.

I was playing diablo 3 for a while and noticed that my temps for the cpu were alright (67-73c) but my gpu recorded the highest temp i've ever seen. It was 91c. Now, I read the NBR cooling zone thread and I know that for the cpu the danger temps are more or less 75-80c+ and for the gpu they are 90-95c+

Should I be worried about this read? I bought this thing about 6 months ago. Is it around the time where I should clean this thing out for dust and what not? Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

oh damn :p you've had it quite some time now

    - 91 *C is not good, but since it's only happened once no damage is done, I would clean it ASAP
-- also if your not in the picky zone, a laptop cooler should do the excellent trick of holding your laptop cool and nice :)

giving it a good clean out around the fans and vents using compressed air is recommended every 2-3 months especially if you have a dusty atmosphere.

I think you should give your laptop a good clean out. Additionally, you can replace the thermal accessory like IC Diamond or MX-4. The temperature is really abnormal...

Use the hot key Fn + 1 is also a good way for cooling...

Yea I figured it was time to clean it. Btw, is there a guide or something to cleaning the p150hm properly? Like, do I have to remove any panels or anything like that? Thanks in advance.

remove mains and battery and then remove the base plate and you should be able to see the fan/s clearly. not sure which screws it is as dont know the model but its usually 5 or 6 around the edge and one screw in the middle.
