Hello all so I have 2 x P150HM motherboards and they are both dead I was wondering if I could make 1 out of the 2 and how difficult would it be to remove this chip and replace it with the one from the other motherboard I have ( they both died for different reasons )

I have attached a picture of the damage chip if any one could share some knowledge I'd be grateful

I'm thinking I have nothing to loose but would like to have a little info before I start attempting the unknown.

That's the CPU VRM. To replace it you need to remove it with a heat gun, then even out the solder on the pads with solder flux and a soldering iron on both the board and replacement chip. Resolder using the heat gun and solder flux. Remove any shorts with the iron.

BGA soldering job, look that up on youtube. Louis Rossman does it on Macs.

It's not a BGA, but the pitch is very small to handle with an iron.
