The crash:
Yesterday right before I was planning to go to sleep my notebook started acting very very slow, so I shut it down. While shutting down it got stuck at the "logging off" screen so without thinking twice about it I shut it down through holding down the power button.
The next morning the machine wouldn't start up. While booting normally it gets stuck at the windows screen. While booting in safe mode it gets stuck while loading the classpnp.sys driver. While trying a system repair it gets stuck at the blue windows screen with nothing in it.
So I downloaded a windows 7 iso on my other pc and made a bootable USB. While trying the repair function it gets stuck at "setup is starting". While trying to do a clean install it also gets stuck at "setup is starting".
Sadly I have no warranty since the company I bought my machine from is bankrupt.
Please help me! I really really need my notebook for work.
Thanks in advance,
Hef

Have you tried running chkdsk from a bootable usb drive? Could possibly be an hdd fault.
-
What about Ubuntu Live DVD (or USB stick)?? Not install but Live.
-
I am running a ubuntu live USB without problems at the moment. So, if I am right, my HDD is dead? Quite a relief if it is since it's not so expensive to replace.
So I need to replace it. How do I replace the HDD? Where can I order a new laptop HDD(in Europe)? I think I might as well upgrade to SSD (depending on the price). -
So I found a manual for replacing the HDD/SSD. It's pretty simple.
Now all I need is a place to order those things hehe. -
HDDs are easy to get hold of. Amazon, Ebay, any shop selling computers really. Easy to change as you can see.

Do you know whether my notebook supports sata600?
-
Your main bay is SATA3 and optical SATA2. If you get an SSD, put it in the main so it's performance isn't strangled. HDDs, it doesn't matter.

I just bought the Samsung 840 series SSD 250GB. Thanks for your help!
-
good choice. best and fastest drive out there at the moment.

Well the 840 pro series is one of the fastest but the 840 non pro is not bad at all
-
Your warranty should be through Sager / Clevo, not who you bought it from.

No, your reseller should be your first point of contact for any service you need doing
