My p150hm came with a HD 6990M which has died, no suprises there! I am looking to get a 7970m to replace it although I seem to have a problem. I cannot get onto BIOS or anything to make sure I have the correct version. My laptop screen is completely black and remains so if I attempt to enter the BIOS.

Will a clevo 7970m just plug straight in and work? I would really appreciate someone's help.

    Thanks

A blind flash will be required to install correct vbios onto 7970m so it is compatible with HM series clevos. Do a search 4 jaybees very useful thread.
    Good luck :)

I have had a look at the thread. Will I be able to get into BIOS when I put the new graphics card in?

    Cheers for your help

There's a couple different updates he has posted. Of course, some of them are meant for overclocking. Enjoy your new card, I have a 7970m in my P170HM and I love it.
