I haven't done anything odd but my laptop will suddenly not turn on.
Nothing happens when I press the power button except the power led on the front right turns green and blinks twice and returns to orange.
Anyone know what the problem might be?

If you disconnect the battery and plug into AC does it do the same thing?
Also, you can try disconnecting all power (battery and AC) and hold the power button for 30 seconds or so, then reconnect the power. That's worked on a number of laptops for me (and my LCD TV, too!)
EDIT: Does anyone know where we can get a list of blink codes?
Also, do you see the backlight light up the screen for a moment (even if it's all black)? Does it make a noise like accessing the ODD, or spinning up the HDD? We're really shooting in the dark without the codes. -

I know this may sound odd, but when I put in a CPU for my P151HM1, I forgot to lock it, and so my computer responded the exact same way yours did, so it might be an internal problem. Try the above first before we jump to conclusions though.

If that doesn't work, check to see that your charger light is on and that the orange light is on on the laptop at boot indicating it's powered. If that checks out, then it could be a hardware failure -
In an old creaking IBM laptop that I used, it suddenly powered off and wouldn't boot up again. I removed the hard drive, waited a few seconds, plugged the drive back in, and then it booted like nothing happened. Very odd huh?

I tried everything here and no luck. Called sager and they say something's shorted. I'll have to RMA my computer once I get to the states if It doesn't magically fix itself.
Thanks for the suggestions. -

Is your battery loose? On mine the battery can be slightly out of contact even if it's installed and locked in. I have to give it a little nudge forward to get the unit to turn on!

Fixed it by taking the CMOS battery out and inserting it again! Not sure what the problem was but at this point I really don't care
-
Remove components, reinsert components until laptop boots up again.
Glad to hear it works again!
Removing the CMOS probably reset the CMOS. Not sure if that means the battery is problematic or the CMOS, could be one of them. -
Motherboards can be finicky. Just one of those things. Good thing its fixed!

My Origin EON17s (P170HM chassis) is doing EXACTLY the same thing. Reseated everything (processor, video card, keyboard, wifi card, memory, CMOS battery), nothing helped.
Power light and amber Bluetooth light come on for about 20 seconds and the thing shuts off. No screen activity whatsoever.
Origin was as perplexed as I was and are having me send it in to them for depot repair.
After reading your experience, makes me wonder if something very weird is going on with these systems or if there is a defect somewhere. -
Would still be nice to get a list of blink codes.

How long have you had your laptop?
Any prior known issues, even what may be considered "minor"? A quick BSOD here or some hiccup with a program there? Often times, those minor unreported issues could potentially snowball into something larger later. -
Hi guys, so you find solution ? we yesterday try change in same Sager GPU and all was fine but after couple of time swapping card laptop stop give screen with original GTX 580m. Could be cmos reset can help ? Why its happen ?

In my case after about a year I finally tracked the problem down to bad RAM. To get it to boot, remove a stick and try and power up... it should boot. Apparently there's some pre-boot detection that happens in post and if that data gets corrupt it's a no-go.
When we were troubleshooting before, they had me remove and reseat the RAM... that's won't clear the error. To get it to clear you have to change the amount physically detected (ie. booting with one stick out).
Once I discovered that, I replaced all four sticks and have never had an issue since.
