Thanks for doing an posting that. Maybe include a list of games you've recorded so people interested in those specific ones will know to check it out.

And Congrats on your first post!

Yeah i've moved onto the taipan and been having a very nice time with it.

I have to agree, I have seen much worse first posts for information.

How have you been finding it personally for long term sessions?

How's the boot time with that msata? Specs are same as me o.w.(8250-S, and 4800MQ).
Is your 750GB a Seagate as well? (I REALLY wish that they would've used WD Caviar Black... the seagate seems pokey to me... which is why I usually avoid them... that I still remember their semi-frequent bad batches period...)

I've got a Crucial m4 128M(hopedully this one shows up tomorrow, but realistically Wed or Fri) on the way, along with that 1TB 7mm WD Scorpio Blue drive for my 7mm 2nd hdd bay(should be in Wed afternoon according to fedex)...

780m is pretty much a killer and feels "smoother" than my 4850(that one year when ATI mobile cards were just slightly downclocked(failed higher speed maybe?) desktop card) ever did...

Only thing remotely demanding that I've tried though is Skyrim, briefly and it was silky smooth(on AC, haven't had the guts to try when purely on batt so far but my expectations are already lowered as I know it's throttled back to c. 50% IIRC...)

    Thanks Meaker,

I went on nuts on Metro Last Light for 5 hours not too long ago. Framerate did not deteriorate and the laptop kept pretty cool (without a notebook cooler).

SSD is a Samsung MSATA SSD 128GB
HDD is a Western Digital Scorpio Black 750GB 7200 RPM. Haven't ran any games on batt yet.

I think it boots in under 9 seconds. I haven't really timed a boot up. It definitely boots at least like 7x times faster than my 2 year old desktop.
