    hi,

I have a P150 with a damaged motherboard and the only replacement I can find on eBay is a P151. Other than the loss of keyboard backlight is there anything else that is incompatible between the 2?

I have all of the parts, gpu, cpu etc from my P150 so I’d be looking to fit them all into the new MB.

    brand new with warranty

Also you can write an email to clevo in UK or Germany, Clevo germany will actually take your old mainboard and offer you a discound on a replacement. So you'll probably only pay around 120-150Euro and you get 1 year warranty.

Thanks, that’s probably the safest way forward. I doubt they’ll take this MB back, I’ve attempted to repair the damage (I purchased it damaged on the basis it could be repaired but the damage it too great)

    What kind of damage?

What did you try/did you do?

Can you post some photos, and info on what is broken/what is the behaviour of the mobo?

Burnt out power input connector, taking out at least 2 layers of the PCB at the input. I bypassed that short by removing the input filters but there is still a short to ground somewhere between the input FETs and the input voltage control IC. I'm giving it up as a bad job

Turns out the seller stiffed me, on closer inspection I have a 151SM! I've ordered a MB for that instead, at least it was cheap....

As far as I remember the main difference was power validation and keyboard backlight but otherwise they were similar.
