Hi so I got my hands on a Metabox P157SM.

I noticed that the hotkey driver appears to be the older version - i.e it is not the same as what is on my new P150SM-A.

Has anyone had any luck in updating the hotkey driver to the latest version? I tried installing the latest P150SM driver on Sager's website. It installs but it won't load the hotkey driver. .

Is it because I have windows 7 on the P157SM?

    Thanks in advance.

You need to use the 8258 driver.

My Sager 8258-S has Windows 7 as well.

    Software Upgrade

Hi thanks for your reply Ashen. I did try the NP8250 (P157sm) drivers but it was still the same. I'll give the 8258 driver a go this afternoon

if the hotkeys are working why bother updating.
if its a new laptop and that was the driver loaded then it was most probably for a reason.

my saying goes if it aint broke why bother trying to fix it :)

Hey sorry for late reply. The current hotkey drivers are working but latest version gives more options for keyboard lighting. I tried updating to the P157SM-A hotkey driver but it did not work. Oh well. I'll stick to the hotkey drivers that came with the CD for now.
