I'm looking at ordering a P150em and I have a few concerns I was hoping could be addressed. I've done a lot of research but I'm still on the border between the 95% NTSC matte vs the stock screen. I plan on doing some video editing and photo work but I've never seen a 95% screen in person so I'm not sure what the difference is going to be. The computers at my university that I have used to edit are imacs but not sure what % those are. Think it's worth the 95 upgrade to it? I'm going to be looking at the screen a lot but I haven't been able to convince myself on that alone yet.
My other question is about the rubber coating and trackpad on the P150em. I've read some mixed reviews that the coating rubs off and the trackpad doesn't work very well. I don't use the trackpad too often at home but on the go or traveling I rarely setup an external mouse. The rubber coating isn't a huge issue but I wasn't sure if whatever I read somewhere was a rare issue someone was having. Thoughts?
Ah, thought of another question, might be silly, also not sure if it's in the right spot. I plan on getting a 750gb hd on purchase and installing a 128gb sdd myself. Does it matter if I install the 128gb in the hd caddy or should I move the 750gb there and put the 128gb ssd in the primary? Is the caddy spot and primary the same speed?
Also considering the steelseries chiclet keyboard, haven't found a dissatisfied post on it yet but is there any pros the stock might have over chiclet?

You might wanna take a look at the MSI forum on this site. Reviews of the keyboard are iffy. I haven't heard anything bad about the stock keyboard, so it may be safer to just stick with that.

Maybe I can be of some help since I'm in college for Graphic Design. The stock screen has amazing colors. I honestly wouldn't change it. Also, I read a post that matte screens are not good for gaming because color setup is a constant hassle. I would save the money and stick with the stock screen. Also, use that money you save and upgrade your CPU. If you're using photoshop and similar programs, the better the processor, the faster the program is going to be.
In regards to the mouse, it works very nice. I have absolutely no complaints. -
I own the p150hm and I believe the rubber coating is same on p150em.
Trackpad works great. In linux, for me anyways, the default settings are exactly where I like them. When I installed Windows briefly to do some software testing I had to make adjustments to get the two finger scrrlling smoother. Otherwise, the sensitivity of the trackpad is just right. One concern though is that after 9 months of medium usage (I use a wireless mouse when I'm at home and trackpad at school, etc) the rubber is wearing down slightly and the left mouse key has signs of wear as well. Not an issue cause it still works, but figured I'd let you know.
I went with 95% gamut glossy display. My previous laptop had a matte dell xps display and I wasn't too crazy about the colors. I like the vibrance of glossy displays and am rarely in a situation where glare is a bother. However, the screens on these things are pretty bright and handle glare very well.
The primary hard drive bay supports sata III while the odd bay supports sata II. If you purchase a sata II SSD it won't make a difference either way. But if you go for a sata III SSD, which you ought, definitely put it in the primary bay to take advantage of its speed. Also, you can request your reseller to place the HDD in the odd slot for you shipped. You'll have to purchase the optical bay drive case from them but it'll save you time.
