Are you running Windows 8 by any chance? There seem to be a lot of issues flooding in when it comes to Sleep when using Windows 8.

I have had this issue before on many laptops.

It is going to be a driver issue.

The fun part is trying to figure out which driver specifically is causing it :/

The common ones are GPU and network drivers (wired/wireless). Sometimes they allow to resume and don't work, other times they may halt the resume process flat out.

As a short term work around I would enable hybrid sleep option.

This will at least keep you from hard crashing the machine as it will hibernate and sleep at same time and if sleep fails to resume and you power off and on it will resume from hibernate and not give improper shutdown and cause data loss.

The next step is to ensure all your drivers are up to date.

    Has this ever worked?

Also, is also a slim chance it's not a driver but a program causing but 90% of the time is just driver issues. Sometimes driver bug, sometimes incompatible driver and sometimes incompatible hardware. Hardware you should be good on though unless you changed something so chances are the driver.

This is either driver or some hardware not waking up properly.
I'd bet on one of the HDD/SSD.

Which intel drivers you running? Have you installed the clevo intel drivers then restared then ran the windows update for the windows update intel drivers? Sounds like that would be the most likely to stop the screen from showing anything from sleep.

Btw I assume your running optimus?

I do not think the latest clevo p150em w/ gt675m has optimus
and all drivers are from the clevo website and windows updates,,, and btw, I installed all intel updates that came from the MS win update
should I start uninstalling the stuff from windows or reinstall the nvidia drivers? any thoughts?
AND WHERE'S ALL THE GURUS FROM XOTIC AND PROSTAR
I know you guys know what to do,,, right?

    the P150EM does have optimus

ive not heard of this problem before with sleep but i had a similar scenario with the crap m15x alienware and hibernation. first thing i do now with any new computer is delete the hibernation folder.
the only way i rectified the problem before i deleted the folder was a cmos battery reboot. that was easy then as it was in the base of the alienware but on the clevo's its under the keyboard. not saying it will help but its worth a try.
remove battery and mains and then press on/off button for 15 seconds. then remove keyboard and take out cmos battery for 30 seconds and then replace.

to check on everything else you have loaded
ram - run memtest (in sig below)
hard drives - run hd tune (in sig below) or trial of hard disc sentinal Download Hard Disk Sentinel

you can find all the P150EM drivers > Software Upgrade

nvidia drivers > NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Advanced Search

Have you tried an EC refresh? You can perform it by disconnecting the battery and power supply, and any other peripherals. Hit the power button a few times to drain the current, then leave the laptop as is for about 5 minutes.

Plug in your battery and/or power supply and see if it does it again. If so, then it's probably software related.

I keep windows updates and just install the latest nvidia ones, windows wont usually update them (but its relatively up to date for the WHQL versions).

If you run command prompt using administrator privilages and type 'powercfg -requests' can you copy and paste what comes up, in a picture or download. That will reveal if sleep modes are available on your laptop? And possibly show which driver is causing an issue.

Before you resort to selling it, why don't you call your reseller? They can walk you through just as much as we have thus far and then some in a matter of minutes.

The P150EM has had some cases of waking up/sleeping, and it has been software related. Before you contact your reseller, the last few things I would advise are to ensure your chipset driver is current, and update your BIOS if applicable.

    Good luck, aexlabs!

You need to fine command prompt in windows explorer for example, right click on the icon then run with administrator privilages, it is a safeguard for windows, just because your logged in as an administrator does not mena everything is run as one. Its just security I believe, incase of virus' and such.

Try again, and see what results come up, chances are its a software issue vs hardware personally.
