he wanted to say all his settings in nvidia are gone

you loose display option, not such a big deal you still can change resolution in display settings in desktop. To change your graphics option, u can select advanced 3d image setting ( click the blue link). Good luck with translation :p

Could happen due to driver update maybe? Idk, there is no context to anything so there really isn't much to say here.

So what is the problem here? If it just did it once then just apply the new settings, see if it does it again. Might be a one time thing. Sometimes windows 10 likes to rewrite your NVIDIA driver, I have this happening a lot to my Clevo as well, it's completely annoying.

    http://www.itprotoday.com/windows-10/stop-automatic-driver-updates-windows-10

Try this to make windows stop rewriting your drivers.

Oh those settings are gone because your screen is connected to your intel graphics GPU. You don't have those settings.

As far as I know the P170EM doesn't have an eDP port, so there is nothing you can do here to get those settings. All monitor related things are in the Intel graphics panel.

You can't. Why do you want these settings anyways? Maybe we can find an alternative.

Oh, no worries then! the driver is just fine.

The settings are not there because intel does the screen settings. Those settings only appear when you have the monitor direcly to your graphicscards.

    So it's like this:
Nvidia --> Intel --> Your laptop screen. So the screen settings are gone, because intel graphics is connected to your screen.
    My Laptop is like this:
Nvidia --> Laptop screen, So the settings are there, because the Nvidia card is connected to my screen.

Those settings are only there on desktop PC's or notebooks with Nvidia card direcly connected on the screen. So all is good, don't worry about it.

I think the problem lies somewhere else. I have P170EM with 1060(vortex) and this card gave similar symptoms until you selected the correct position while modifying the graphics driver file.

Not sure how you did it but bravo. What section did you use on your card to get those menus? I want to test it myself and see if they even work or not.

I'm sure you can force unlock them whereby they will do absolutely nothing.

The 150 and 170EM are totally wired to the Intel IGP, even the external outputs.

If you had them before it was a bug. Use the Intel settings.

Didn't know that. Well then I don't really see those settings working at all then, no clue how he got them to show up.

What exactly do you mean by that? What should I do to see if they actually do nothing?
