Hi everyone. Sorry this has probably been asked on here a million and one times but I couldn't find any relating to my situation(If there are please chuck me the link). Finally got round to repairing my laptop after 3 years. Power socket needs replacing and a new socket is on the way.
Anyone currently have gtx 560m and whilst I have the laptop in pieces looking for what I can replace it with.

I found a couple of 980m's on ebay but the cheaper priced ones are from alienwares are they locked or will I be able to find a driver to run on the p150hm? Will it require a 230w brick?

If this isn't a viable option can you give your thoughts on what I will be able to install and run on the laptop. Been out of the game a while so have no idea anymore about whats available but have technical understanding so no need for layman's terms

There is a members market on here for people listing things. You also need to check specifically what will work in the P150HM because it is picky on what it will work with.

    Thanks @Meaker@Sager

Does anyone have a list of supported cards or cards that can be supported with minimal modification?

The highest gpu you can install is a 680m. The hm series doesn't use optimus so you might need to also update the bios. Anything past a 680m wont work without a lot of mods since clevo stopped providing bios support. I know @Prema had a p170hm or p150hm that he was able to update with a 980m years ago but didn't fully finish so he might be able to help.

Also the HM uses a slightly different to stock control schema for the MXM card.
