Hello i have a clevo p150hm with 7970m .when i want to start with the power buttom ,start but have black screen. After 2-3 tries works perfect for hours. I have the latest clevo bios and the vbios is br042817.008 . It's a graphics card problem? Is a way to find my problem? Thank you for your time

If you let it sit for a while when it is showing black screen, do any leds start flashing or the fan kicks in to high? After successfully booting, does the PC ever freeze or crash?

Usually black screen with no Post and no leds flashing is RAM related. The first thing I would try is reseat the ram, making sure that the socket of the motherboard is free of dust or dirt. Then go ahead and run a Memtest overnight and see if it finds any errors.

When it has the black screen the right blue leds (bluetooth, hard disc and wifi) are off. Only the hard disc blinking sometimes. The fun is working sometimes but no at max speed. After a few seconds the laptop is in windows but have black screen.

Sounds like your video card. Thankfully it is still working, even if it's inconsistent.

When you have the black screen and are booted to your desktop, are you able to get a picture on an external screen?

Sounds like a bad GPU. You can try to take it off and reseat it but I don't know if this will do much for you. It seems odd to me that the card doesn't work at first but after several tries it works for hours without crashing.

In few days i will change the chip. I found it new in china. I am afraid to reflow or reball the bad old chip. (Before 1 hour don't boot and boot after little reflow)

Unfortunately reflowing a bad chip is just a temporary fix that won't last in most cases. If you are sure that the chip itself is the problem and you have the right tools and skills to replace it, then go ahead and swap it for a new one.

It does sound like the solder is warming up and replacing the chips is good as it replaces the solder between the chip and die as well (being a new chip) which is often where the issue lies.

I don't afraid the solders between chip and mobo but i think is the chip the problem because is very very bad optical.

I want to change a lot of smd capacitors to found where is the problem in these cards. If anyone have a problematic 7970m send it to me to try the last hope for these cards.
