By the way P151EM BIOS 05 adds GTX680M/HD7970M to P151EM so I guess 75W MXM can run 100W card ;)

I can confirm this, already running a 7970M in a P151, but i didn´t mod anything, just plug and play and straight forward stock driver installation.
As for the AC adapter just get the AC Adapter from the P150EM (the 180W one).
Also be sure to update the BIOS to latest before replacing the card.

When i said latest bios my point is that the first stock bios does not support the 7970, same happened with P150EM and P170EM, the first units with 675M, then with the first bios update the support for 7970M was there (version 03 i think). In the P151 the exact same thing happens, if you have one with the very first BIOS 01 or even 02 (i think) it won´t support the 7970, you will get image on the screen but the fans will go Max and you will listen the system Beep until it turns off.

So it will work with any Bios from 03 and above, but since you´re updating why not simply update it to the latest? :p
