so now the computer is doing the windows update. and how do i make sure if it is a 95% NTSC Color Gamut Matte screen?
-
Hey, do you mind checking the quality of the headphone out?
-
sure, is still updating though, 60/85
-
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
-
Is that a good hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm or a bad hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
-
is fine, nothing bad and nothing spectacular
-
those who have P151HM1, is the laptop sound loud , i think mine is quite loud x(((
-
I don't find my P151HM to be loud, but loud is relative. I used to have inspiron 1520 which was much louder. Now I just use bluetooth headphone since I live with others.
As for the screen, i think there was a diagnostic tool read about a while back but i cant find it. -
Just a normal headphone jack i guess? Nice!
-
was there problem with other people's headphone jack?
-
Some folks have reported poor sound quality, not necessarily a poorly constructed jack.
-
Check Hardware manager--I'm not sure if it shows up but your 95% matte should be B156HW01 V.4 -
hmm
i went to device manager and i dont see anything about that////
if there a tool where i can check most of my computer's device and should i worry about the BIOS @@ -
Well i have this m15x where i have to push hard to get the jack in -_- its really annoying..
-
I have this Dell Inspiron 6000 where the headphone jack has broken in such a way that neither headphones or speakers work anymore. Either the connector is broken, or the MB is.
-
Quite honestly if you can't tell by looking at the screen (or you have a concern just based on looking at the screen), it probably isn't there.
If the monitor looks excellent why worry about it? -
Mistrust of the retailer?
Seriously, though, all the retailers who are active here have very clean records with the BBB and resellerratings.com. I don't think they're about to start stiffing customers to save $95.
(Secretly, I'd like to know how to tell, too. Especially w/o dismantling the laptop.) -
Back in XP you could tell by the hardware profiles (Right click "My computer", go to properties, click device manager, go to Monitor, right click your device then hit properties). Head to the Details tab then change the dropdown to Hardware/Compatible ID's (I think).
EDIT:
alternate route:
Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager -> Monitors (expand this) -> Right click your monitor and hit properties -> Details Tab -> Change dropdown to Hardware/Compatible ID's -
Didn't Everest also support this?
Computer Diagnostics & Network Audits Software | Lavalys.com
They used to have a trial version. Maybe check softpedia, too. -
Well, i have been using this laptop for about a day and a half and everything works fine but i didnt really do anything particular yet, just web browsing most of the time
the hardware id MONITOR\LEN40B2
the compatible id *PNP09FF
what do those 2 IDS tell? -
Manufacturer B156HW01 V4 according to a quick google search.
-
so, it is fine?
-
The V4 is the 95% gamut model I'm pretty sure. So yeah, you're good
-
im also worried about the sound on the sagers...does a good $100 headset cover up?
