    Hi,

I've finally fitted a replacement mobo to my P151SM an have installed windows, however the Nvidia card isn't detected in windows (comes up as generic windows GFX card) but is seen i the BIOS. I'm guessing the nvidia card is toast? Windows boots and runs ok off the Intel GPU built into the processor.

I've bought a real lemon of a laptop....

Can someone recommend a reasonable replacement that doesn't cost a fortune?

    TIA

    Ian

Have you tried to install the display driver? You might need to modify the inf file if the driver won't install.

If you have upgraded the GPU then all you need is a custom driver. No damage, no worries. What GPU do you have?

I tried both vanilla Nvidia drivers and the downloaded ones from Clevo and both report that no compatible hardware is found.

@Danishblunt it's a GTX870M according to the BIOS, do I need to edit the inf files? (I've read about that but don't know the details)

NVIDIA really needs to stop annoy me with the sectors. System works perfecly fine now.

Remember to get ICDiamond to get it repasted for optimal temps.
