I apologize if this is already in another post but I couldn't find a post anywhere about this.

This has been keeping me from absolutely loving my P157SM ( yes even the gawdy touchpad backlight ) 100%.

Can someone please explain to me why using this touchpad is absolutely a rage inducing face slamming painful experience?

    Here is why it sucks:
    • Start typing something and my palm brushes across touchpad
      • computer- i see you activated a swipe feature! let me HIGHLIGHT THE ENTIRE LINE FOR YOU so you can erase EVERYTHING
    • Start typing something and somehow i brush something across touchpad
      • computer- maybe you would like to continue you senteHEREnce instead!
    • computer- i thought you LIKED clicking on RANDOM THINGS ON YOUR SCREEN!

now I don't think i have grotesquely huge hands that makes it an issue only for me. I've tried disabling the swipe gestures, tried turning off the mousepad when typing but it is still INFURIATING to use this touchpad.

Has anyone solved this? new drivers? any possible way of installing a non crudtastic touchpad? any tips and tricks?

It's sad but true in that this touchpad blows... This brand is not nearly as used for TP as the other brand and I suspect Clevo sourced them because they generally are cheaper and the P157SM cost more to make vs. the P150SM so this was one way to try to save on costs to keep price similar.

My complaint is sometimes it's not accurate and it almost seems like it has a slight delay and doesn't move the mouse. Kind of like being on a slow RDP connection moving the mouse...

That said, unlike the other brand I also don't see ANY drivers out in the wild for them. What you find are the manufacture specific ones and that's it. No nice generic ones or manufacture ones like we could other get.

It's sad. Just another thing I complain about on these laptops.
GREAT potential but screwed by crappy execution by Clevo.
I am raging over the fan's being annoying and when they ramp up from game session not going back down. :/

Maybe a firmware or something gets released to help improve things though.

You do get a decent amount of settings. I see you say you enabled the option to disable TP when typing, have you tried also adjusting the delay on it to increase it? That will probably solve that part at least.
I don't see an TP sensitivity or palm setting though :(

A lot of TP seem to work by heat too so even though you may not touch the TP being close enough might trigger it.

Anyway, try to increase the keyboard delay thing. It can go up to 2 seconds (not tested myself) but I imagine that may help you for most.

    Sentelic Drivers

It's nowhere near as extensive as the other guys' drivers, but it's something to work with.

The drivers on that page are so old, heck not even any Win 8 ones. The Sager ones are actually newer in this case lol
