Does anyone know if the P15xSM models support eDrive properly?

I am thinking for some reason EFI_STORAGE_SECURITY_COMMAND_PROTOCOL
    is not enabled/working??

I have an SSD that supports eDrive functionality and have modified the GP in windows to allow a password/key file (since Sager was lame and opted to not include TPM in the machines they get) but bitlocker wants to use software encryption still. (You can tell this by if it asks you if you want to encrypt entire drive or just used space. eDrive won't ask this as is instant and all).

I am in UEFI mode with secure boot enabled. Have even tried a clean install with default windows storage drivers etc.

Drives that support eDrive are m500 & 840 Evo (on latest FW). Anyone have these and got it working?

Hmm I moved the disk to SATA 1 instead of SATA 0 since I didn't like how it rattled due to being 7mm and the default slot having no way to secure it and did another re-install and now magically it is working.

No idea if moving did it or just luck as the reinstall was identical to the last one. In both cases I wiped all partitions and let windows re-create etc. but now when done after making the GP edit I was able to enable Bitlocker and it did it instantly without needing to encrypt used/full disks.

Odd but whatever, just glad it actually worked.
