    Hi

Any owners of the P170 able to share their experience with the fan noise on these laptops under load? I have an old Asus G1s that gets quite loud when it revs up. I am most likely going to get a P170 with the 7970. Thanks.

I don't have one yet but the resellers have all chimed in letting us know that they aren't that loud.

I've had a few weeks to play around with mine. At idle, just browsing the web, I don't notice it. If you're playing a game, the fans will kick on louder, but with the game volume up, you won't be able to hear it. Now, if you're playing a game in a quiet room, it will probably be noticed, but not obnoxiously loud.
