    Evening all,i have noticed that the touchpad on the p170 is brushed like the palm rest and takes a bit if getting used to going from the softer touchpad on the m570ty.i have noticed that there are two lines on the touchpad that are raided further on the touch pad and almost feel like they are scratches on the surface.just wondering from other p170 owners does the touchpad wear down a little with use and are these higher ridges likely to disappear with more use.thanks

    Personally, i hate the damn touchpad design so much. D;
    I just turn it off and forget about it.

    I know what you mean OP but i'm happy to report it does wear down after a few weeks, mine had the same bumpy brushed metal parts on it but now it feels smooth with still a little brushed metal texture to it. Although i am now using the razer orochi bluetooth mouse.
