When I connect my P170EM with an HDMI cable to my TV, the picture on the screen is just a bit to big. The outer borders of the picture are cut off, it looks a bit like overscan for an old tube TV. My TV is a European LG 42LM860V. Screen resolution is set to the native 1920 x 1080 of the TV screen. I have seen this with mediaplayers as well, but there you can adjust the picture in the settings of the player. I found non of these settings on the PC or on the TV. Does any one know what to do about this problem?

If you're referring to resolution settings, then you can access them via the Display Settings (or right click on your desktop and select Screen resolution). Make sure it is in Landscape view and not portrait view, also.
Is your DPI setting changed? You can try lowering that as well. -
I have a similar lg. Set the display mode on the TV to "just scan"

Thanks very much, that did the trick. Not even LG support could tell me that.

Glad to hear it. Just scan is the best option for all hd sources. 1:1 pixel mapping ftw.
