im on 90,000+ in icestorm with my 680 so you defo have a problem. maybe try a reinstall of the graphics drivers.
ive never used ati so have no idea how the control center works but theres got to be a way of forcing the dediated card to run the program.

yep, reinstalling drivers would be the way to go. ive had a similar issue once myself where the gpu just got stuck on idle clocks :) if that doesnt work, try uninstalling amd driver - reboot - uninstall intel driver - reboot - install intel driver - reboot - install amd driver

Good to hear! Have you tried TeamViewer as well? If you set it to launch with Windows, it makes things simpler with unattended access on the other user's end. :)

No I haven't. I will look into it. Can you restart the pc without interference? In logmein a password is required on the windows account to make it work. This means he has to be there to type the user account password before startup. If you leave it blank you need to set-up an access code, but that messes with his accounts. I dont want to do that.

That would be a stoplight for TeamViewer as well. It has a feature for remote reboot, but it will halt on reconnecting until the user logs back into Windows. :(
